When a cash reward, dollars off a total purchase, or coupons not directly attributable to a specific item are applied to a purchase, the value of the cash reward, dollars off a total purchase, or such coupons is applied as a discount on each eligible item purchased in a pro rata manner in view of the original item price compared to the total purchase amount of the eligible items prior to the discount. After the discount has been applied pro rata to each eligible item, points will be accrued based on the proportionally discounted value of each item in the order.
